Place History:
Before the apocalypse, this was the newest (and largest - freestanding) Apple Store in the metro Milwaukee area. It was the demo store for the area, which meant it had access to all the newest (even experimental) technology before it was released on the market. The latest experimental technology (that, sadly, did not get much farther than the initial stages, due to the spread of disease) was to be called "i" and attempted to use advanced microchip tech to turn the brain into the computing device. This daring technology had only accepted a few people into its focus group, and only one person was from the Milwaukee area. The program showed promise, though unexpected complications resulted in the disfigurement of the Milwaukee test subject.

Post-apocalypse, the Apple Store is a place of worship for the Keepers of the Flame. Remarkably, the store has been kept up to a much higher degree than most of the other post-apocalyptic locations, maintaining its pristine white walls and clean lines. This is due to an obsessive amount of attention paid by members of the religious faction. High priests of the Keepers of the Flame are working to restore the latest innovation from Apple, the "i", with the hope that this daring new tech would give them direct access to the mind of God. Followers search for discarded tech throughout the area, bringing them to the altar (Genius Desk) for inspection and restoration.
